The engineering teams of the Security Forces managed to dismantle an improvised explosive device found in a residential neighbourhood of Al-Hawtah, the capital of Lahj governorate on Tuesday.
According to the security statements, the camouflaged homemade bomb was planted close to the house of a senior security official on the side of the road in al-Haw neighbourhood which is highly frequented by people, mostly students.
The engineering teams cordoned off the area and dismantled the explosive device which can be triggered by wireless networking signals, the statements added.
