King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center Project (Masam) for clearing mines in Yemen removed during the first week of August 2023, a total of 1,013 landmines and improvised explosive devices planted by the Iran-backed Houthi militia in several regions of the war-torn country.
Since it first entered Yemen in mid-2018, Masam has removed 409,646 explosive devices in a number of the liberated areas, including 6,283 anti-personnel mines, 140,398 anti-tank mines,7,848 explosive devices and 255,117 unexploded ordnance.
