A child was killed by Houthi-laid land mine explosion in Hays district, south Hodeidah governorate on Yemen's West Coast, local media outlets reported on Wednesday.
The12-year-old boy Mohammed Amin was killed immediately when he stepped on a landmine planted by the Houthi rebels in a grazing area where the villagers take their sheep and goats to pasture on a daily basis.
The number of civilian casualties of Houthi-laid mines and improvised explosive devices, continue to increase significantly on the West Coast, in particular in Hodeidah where most of the victims are children.
