Southern Transitional Council (STC) affirmed Thursday its firm condemnation regarding the assassination attempt against the tribal sheikh and social figure, Abdullah bin Omar Al-Attas near a military checkpoint of the First Military Region in Wadi Hadramout yesterday, in which one of his companions was killed and the other was injured following hail of bullets fired at Al-Attas.
According to local media, Al-Attas and his companion were transmitted to hospital with serious injuries but stable condition.
The STC's local leadership in its statement, held the First Military Region, which is controlled by the Muslim Brotherhood's militia, responsible for the heinous crime.
