A leisure trip for children with special needs was organized this week in Aden by the Southern Transitional Council (STC) in partnership with the Kayan and Rouh initiatives.
The trip which carried the name 'Happy Day' is within the great attention paid by the STC to children with special needs, especially those with Down syndrome in order to help them to integrate into society, head of the Women and Children's Department, Yasmeen Musa'eid said in a statement.
The Happy Day was arranged for the purpose of bringing smile to the faces of children with Down syndrome and giving them joy and hope for a brighter future, Musa'eid added.
The organizers called on the international organizations for further support and help to children with special needs with a view to alleviating their suffering and raising their morale.
