Office of the Special Envoy of the UN Secretary-General for Yemen (OSESGY) was keen to attend the three-day meeting of the Southern National Dialogue that started in Aden on May 4 with wide participation of various southern components, member of the Presidency of the Southern Transitional Council, Vice-President of the Southern National Assembly for Control and Inspection, Lutfi Shatara said in a statement on Saturday.
The OSESGY was keen to send its representative to the consultative meetings in order to impart the truth and genuine political affinity between Southerners, Shatara said following his discussions with Francesca Sithlard from the OSESGY's Political Department on the sidelines of the southern consultative meeting.
"We had a conversation about the importance of the event." he noted and made it clear that "conveying the truth in a direct way is better than a reported news story."
It is worth mentioning that the inclusive and consultative meetings of the southern forces aim at reaching a binding 'Southern Code of Honor' to set out a unified vision for the restoration of the Southern State.
