The 11th of May marks the declaration of the establishment of a leadership for the South under the umbrella of the Southern Transitional Council (STC), the member of the STC Presidency, Vice-President of the National Assembly for Financial Control and Inspection, Lufti Shatara tweeted today.
Shatara affirmed that since its creation five years ago, the STC leadership went through many twists and turns before reaching a critical and crucial transitional stage.
He made it clear that the leader and the leadership of the STC have carried all that weight for the sake of victory for the people's will.
Shatara also directed his words to those who are for the time being in Aden, referring to high-ranking officials from North Yemen, advising them to not procrastinate and waste their last chance.
On 11 May 2017, the STC was established in Aden under the presidency of the commander Aidroos Qassem al-Zubaidi to represent the people of the South at the national and regional levels. Since its foundation, the council has gained influence in all parts of the South.
