Protests against the breakdown of essential public services continue in al-Mukalla city, the provincial capital of the oil-rich Hadhramout governorate.
Dozens of people gathered on Monday, near the Office of the Governor in protest against the significant deterioration of basic services, including electricity, demanding the removal of corrupt officials in the local authority and holding them accountable.
Yesterday night, angry protesters took to the streets of al-Mukalla and set tyres on fire to block all the main roads over the poor living conditions and lack of basic services.
It's worth mentioning that the people suffer in all the southern governorates, including Aden from the deterioration of services and continuous power cuts.
