 Senior cardiology and catheter consultant, faculty member at Hadhramout's College of Medicine and Health Sciences, Dr. Abu Bakr Abdullah Al-Zubaidi lost his life to coronavirus on Wednesday.

Last Sunday, the head of the COVID-19 isolation centre in Seiyun city of Hadramout governorate, Dr. Hussein Abbas Al-Aidaroos passed away on Sunday from COVID-19 complications.

Ten days earlier, the head of the COVID-19 isolation centre at Aden's Al-Jumhouria Hospital, Dr. Mohsen Bin Hammam died from complications caused by coronavirus pandemic.

The liberated areas of Yemen has seen an increase in the number of deaths due to COVID-19 in the recent weeks, including doctors, nurses and other health-care workers.

Today, the supreme national emergency committee for coronavirus reported 72 new confirmed cases in seven governorates with the death of 10 coronavirus patients. Yemen's first confirmed case of coronavirus was announced on 10 April 2020. The (official) total number has reached 5,047 cases.
