Commander of the Security Belt forces in al-Musaimir district of Lahj governorate, Hamza Jamal al-Houshabi survived an assassination attempt on Monday night.
Security sources said that unknown persons opened fire on al-Houshabi's car while he was parking near his home coming from Laboza Camp, adding that the attackers escaped the scene after an exchange of fire.
The assassination attempt attempt of al-Houshabi followed the capture of the largest joint Houthi terrorist cell involved in several terrorist acts including planting bombs on the main route which links Al-Anad Military camp to Karesh Front in the north of Lahj.
It is worth mentioning that the security belt in Al Mesaimeer lacks the most basic capabilities and equipment as its leadership is making strenuous efforts to secure stability in the governorate.
