 Lawyer Niran Sooqi, member of the presidency of the Southern Transitional Council and member of the council's emergency committee and Dr Nasser Al-Wali, STC  leader of the local committee in Aden, vice-chairman of the Relief and Humanitarian Action Committee, this morning visited Mualla district.

Members of the STC  inspected the progress of clearing the debris left after the floods in Mualla district.

Sookie and Al Wali were briefed on the ongoing work of lifting dirt from the streets and the homes of the residents of Jabal al-Qawarer, which was badly damaged by the floods.

The STC leaders stressed the importance of speeding up the work to lift the harm, stress and the suffering of the residents in the district.

Sookie also inspected the damage caused by heavy rainfall in Tawahi district and was briefed on the magnitude of the disaster caused by the heavy rain fall in al-Rasafi and Ibn Zaydon neighbourhoods in the al-Qaloa’a district, as well as the neighbourhoods of Showla, Bandar Gadid and Fath.

During her visit, Sooqi asked the residents to complete their reports on the damages caused and asked them to present them for adoption as soon as possible.
