A young man was killed and three others injured on Monday, by Houthi-laid land mine explosion in al-Qataba area of al-Khokha district, west of Taiz governorate.
Local sources said that the 20-year-old man, Abdullah Mohammed Ali was killed and his younger brother, Abdel Azeez was injured along with two young men when they drove their car over a Houthi landmine planted on one of the feeder roads during the period of the pro-Iran rebels' control over the district.
The same sources added that the victims of the blast were taken to al-Khokha field hospital for receiving the necessary medical treatment.
Abdullah Mohammed Ali is added to the list of dozens of innocent victims who lost their lives in Houthi-laid landmines and improvised explosive devices (IEDs).
The number of civilian casualties of Houthi-laid mines and IEDs continue to increase significantly on the West Coast, in particular in Hodeidah where most of the victims are children.
