At least 9800 of Iran-backed Houthi rebels were killed by national army and coalition strikes on various fronts in 2018.
The Monitoring Unit of Al-Asema Media Center revealed that hundreds of Houthi leaders were among the killed militia, including Saleh Al-Sammad the head of the so-called political council and also the second wanted in the blacklist announced by Arab coalition late in 2017.
Five other militia leaders in the same blacklist were also killed and more injured, the report said.
The monitors managed to collect the militia casualties through the relatives and sources close to the families of the killed, the report mentioned.
The figures showed that 503 from the Houthi extremist and ideological leaders were killed, 276 from military commanders and 224 supervisors.
The report pointed out that about 3000 children, under 18, have been killed fighting alongside Houthi militia who still increasingly recruiting children and throw them to the deadly fronts.
Houthi rebels were being mostly depleted in Hodeida, followed Nihm front eastern Sana’a, and then Serwah, west of Marib, according to the report.
