Hundreds took to the streets of Seiyun, the second largest city of Hadramout governorate on Wednesday afternoon, in protest to the legitimacy's decision to hold the expired Yemeni parliament session in the land of Hadramout and the South.

The protesters chanted slogans against the Yemenization of Hadramout, affirming that the South (land, identity and human being) is represented by the Southern Transitional Council.

The mass rally coincided with broad-based preparations for holding the parliamentary session amid tight security and military measures taken by the legitimacy.

Earlier, the Vice president of the Southern Transitional Council, Sheikh Hani Ben Brik warned the legitimacy against any assault on the peaceful protesters in Seiyun.

President Abdu Rabbu Mansour Hadi recently announced that (the expired) Parliament will convene in Seiyun city in Hadramout governorate after the Yemeni political parties having agreed on the names of Parliament Speaker and his deputies.
