Member of the Presidency of Southern Transitional Council (STC ), Vice-President of the National Assembly for Control and Inspection, Lufti Shatara reiterated his calls for coexistence formula between the South and the North.

Shatara indicated in his tweet today that "When the citizen in the North feels that restoring the Southern State means setting up electrical barriers across the borders to prevent him from entering the South, undoubtedly every northerner will stand against such restoration."

"Coexistence between the peoples of the North and the South is inevitable. Thus, the re-creation of two states (North and South) coexisting together needs a balanced political discourse from both sides." he added.

In previous tweets, Shatara said that the two-state solution remains the only acceptable way out of the Yemeni crisis.

He explained that a two-state solution ensures coexistence formula between the South and the North and what's more, ensures security and stability at both the regional and international levels.

Shatara indicated that the legitimate interest of Southerners prioritizes the two-state solution as the foundation of any future rational political solution, otherwise everyone's interests to maintain political stability, promote development and combat terrorism would not be realized.

He made it clear "The South was a (sovereign and independent) state and it will seize back its proper place in the international family."
