The Yemeni Network for Rights and Freedoms (YNRF) denounced the Houthi burning of tents of African migrants in the border area of Raqw in Saada Governorate, which resulted in the death of 17 people and the injury of others.

In a statement carried by Saba, the network indicated that the militia continues its crimes against defenseless civilians, considering this crime as a new addition to the militia’s bloody record, especially after the burning of more than 60 Africans in the capital Sana’a in 2020.

For its part, the Arab Coalition said the killing of migrants is “a repeat of the Houthi burning of hundreds of African migrants in Sanaa.”

The Coalition called on the United Nations “to assume its responsibility in exposing the brutal Houthi violations against migrants”.
