Five pro-Iran Houthi militants were killed and others were injured in armed clashes broke out near al-Tuhita district in the south of Hodeidah on Sunday.
Military field sources said that heavy armed clashes erupted in the eastern parts of al-Tuhita, involving the use of heavy weapons, between the joint forces and the Iranian-backed Houthi militants who tried to sneak into the liberated areas.
The joint forces managed to repulse the Houthis' attack and forced them to retreat after killing five rebels and injuring many others, the same sources added.
Earlier the same day, the Houthis sent three spying drones over al-Faza area of al-Tuhita district within their serious violations of the U.N.-brokered ceasefire in Hodeidah.
