 Rayyan International Airport in al-Mukalla, the capital of Hadramout resumed on Friday, its flight operations after six years of closure.

Rayyan Airport received today the first plane of the Yemenia Airways company coming from Aden.

Officials told the press that the reopening of Rayyan International Airport is within the efforts of the Ministry of Transport to promote the airports and transport sector in general, including the redevelopment of Aden International Airport as stipulated in the agreement signed with the Saudi Development and Reconstruction Programme for Yemen (SDRPY).

According to Yemen Airways, operating international flights will be followed soon on a par with Aden and Seiyun airports.
