 The deputy director of October Hospital in yafa', Dr. Mohammed Qasim Al-Kaldi died on Thurday, from coronavirus complications.

Al-Kaldi was battling the disease at the COVID-19 isolation centre of Al-Jumhouria Hospital in Aden.

The recent weeks  have seen an increase in the number of deaths due to COVID-19, especially in the health sector.

Yesterday, senior cardiology and catheter consultant, faculty member at Hadhramout's College of Medicine and Health Sciences, Dr. Abu Bakr Abdullah Al-Zubaidi lost his life to coronavirus.

Last Sunday, the head of the COVID-19 isolation centre in Seiyun city of Hadramout governorate, Dr. Hussein Abbas Al-Aidaroos passed away on Sunday from COVID-19 complications.

Ten days earlier, the head of the COVID-19 isolation centre at Aden's Al-Jumhouria Hospital, Dr. Mohsen Bin Hammam died from complications caused by coronavirus pandemic.

Yesterday, the supreme national emergency committee for coronavirus reported 72 new confirmed cases in seven governorates with the death of 10 coronavirus patients. Yemen's first confirmed case of coronavirus was announced on 10 April 2020. The (official) total number has reached 5,047 cases, including 986 deaths.
