 Violent clashes involving the use of medium and heavy weapons erupted between the joint forces and the pro-Iran Houthi terrorist militia in Hays district in the south of Hodeidah, Al-Amalika Media Centre reported on Monday.

Military field sources said that the Houthi rebels launched an attack on the locations under the control of the joint forces in the southeast of Hays, adding that the joint forces managed to drive back the Houthi attack, inflicting heavy human and material loses on them.

At least six Houthi militants killed in the clashes that broke out after the arrival of new reinforcements from the Houthi-held governorate of Ibb.

Yesterday, thirteen Houthi unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) have been detected in several parts of Hodeidah.

According to the joint forces on the West Coast, the Houthi spying drones were seen flying over the districts of Hays (6) and al-Tuhita (7).

Earlier the same day, the pro-Iran militants launched heavy shelling targeting residential areas in the province.
