The acting president of the Presidency of the Southern Transitional Council (STC), head of the negotiating team, Nasser Al-Khubji and the member of the STC Presidency, Vice-President of the National Assembly for Control and Inspection, Lufti Shatara received in Aden on Monday, a delegation from the Swiss-based Center for Humanitarian Dialogue (HD).
During the meeting, the STC officials reviewed the negotiation process before and after the signing of the Riyadh Agreement, what have been achieved so far regarding the political and military aspects of the agreement and the terms that are not implemented yet.
Al-Khubji affirmed the STC's adherence to the Riyadh Agreement and to fully implement its terms with a view to alleviating the people's suffering in the South and consolidating the efforts in the fight against the terrorist Houthi militia.
The meeting also touched on the STC's political program, its vision for the final solution to the Yemeni crisis, emphasizing that resolving the southern issue is the only way to end all the conflicts in the region.
For its part, the HD team in Yemen explained its role in resolving armed conflicts through dialogue and mediation and its interests in the South and Yemen in general, stressing the center’s keenness on dialogue between political forces and its support for the UN efforts to build lasting peace.
