Under the chairmanship of the acting president of the Presidency of the Southern Transitional Council (STC) and head of the negotiating team, Dr. Nasser Al-Khabji, the STC Presidency held its regular meeting in Aden on Saturday, in the presence of the STC's ministers in the power-sharing government and the Security chief of Aden.

The meeting focused on the latest developments in the homeland and pressing issues in the southern arena, in particular the Riyadh Agreement.

The STC presidency stressed the need to continue pushing forward the implementation of the Saudi-brokered deal, thereby contributing to the enhancement of both security and stability in the South and consolidating the efforts in the fight against the pro-Iran Houthi militia, terrorist organizations and common dangers.

The meeting discussed the economic deterioration and dramatic collapse in the value of the local currency, urging the government to assume its responsibilities in addressing such issues, easing the burden on people, building up public institutions and initiating the reconstruction.

The meeting also discussed a number of topics listed on its agenda and several topics pertaining to its organizational and political work.
