 The head of the Foreign Affairs Office of the Southern Transitional Council (STC) in Canada, Abdul Karim Ahmed Saeed held a telephone conversation with the Member of Parliament (House of Commons of Canada) Chandra Arya during which they discussed the latest developments in Yemen and the South.

Saeed reiterated the STC's keenness to fully implement the terms of the Riyadh Agreement such as forming the power-sharing government.

He called the Canadian government to exercise its pressure on the other parties to honor their commitments in order to alleviate the humanitarian suffering of the civilian population.

He made it clear that the only way to bring about comprehensive and sustainable peace in Yemen is to fairly resolve the southern issue in accordance with the aspirations of the people in the South.

For his part, the Canadian MP affirmed his readiness to mobilize support for the southern people and Yemen in general with a view to alleviating human suffering arising out the Yemeni crisis.
