Fierce clashes broke out between the southern forces and the Iranian-backed Houthi militia along the line of contact of the northwestern fronts of Qataba district of al-Dhale governorate.

Military field sources reported that the clashes took place in Wadi Subira and the north of al-Joub following a large-scale attack launched by the pro-Iran rebels on the locations under the control of the southern forces.

The same sources affirmed that the southern forces managed to drive back the Houthi attack, inflicting heavy casualties and material losses on  them.

The clashes occurred after several days of cautious calm on all the fronts, in particular in the north and northwest of al-Dhale.
