A big explosion rocked Aden's city of in al-Mansourah on Thursday evening, local sources told Aden Press.
The blast occurred near the central prison in al-Mansourah, creating a state of fear and panic among the people without causing any casualties.
Earlier the same day, the UN Special Envoy of the Secretary-General for Yemen, Martin Griffiths arrived in Aden in a bid revive peace efforts.
On Wednesday, an explosive device planted on the side of the road in al-Mansourah targeted the vehicle of the Director of al-Durain Police station, Mohammed Qaid Oqaiba and his son.
The two persons sustained serious injuries and they were taken to the nearest hospital for medical treatment.
