Member of the Presidency of the Southern Transitional Council (STC), Vice-President of the National Assembly for Control and Inspection, Lufti Shatara and the member of STC Presidency, Vice-President of the National Assembly, Niran Souki held a meeting in Aden on Monday, with the director of the Office of the Special Envoy of the Secretary-General for Yemen (OSESGY), Marwan Al-Ali.

The meeting reviewed the latest developments in the South, in particular in Aden following the deadly terrorist attack on Aden international Airport shortly after the arrival of a plane carrying the new Yemeni government last Wednesday.

They also touched on the intra-Southern rapprochement at this important stage, stressing the need to accelerate the implementation of the Riyadh Agreement.

Shatara reiterated the continued insistence of the STC to implement the power-sharing agreement despite the fact that some parties try to destabilize security in the southern governorates, especially in Aden.
