 The governor of Aden, Ahmed Hamed Lamlas chaired in Aden on Sunday, the meeting of the Security Committee to discuss the security arrangements for receiving the newly formed government which is due to arrive this week.

The Security Committee highly praised the announcement of the new cabinet as part of the implementation of the Riyadh Agreement between the Yemeni government and the Southern Transitional Council.

The Committee expressed support for the new government in order to meet the aspirations of the people in the capital, Aden in reinforcing the pillars of security and stability, ensuring construction and development efforts and restoring Aden's leading political and economic role.

The meeting also reviewed the latest security developments in Aden and evaluated the level of implementation of the resolutions taken at previous meetings.
