The official spokesman of the Yemeni armed forces, Brig. Gen. Abdo Mugali denied all the fake news made by the former Minister of Transport, Saleh al-Jabwani to target Prime Minister, Dr. Ma’een Abdulmalik.
In a statement carried by the official website of the Yemeni ministry on Tuesday, Mugali described the allegations as a failed attempt to create a gap between the PM and the Yemeni armed forces, urging the media outlets to examine the credibility of news material that is published and broadcast and to obtain information from official sources.
Al-Jabwani claimed that Abdulmalik gave the United Arab Emirates Air Force (UAEAF) a green light to pound the Muslim Brotherhood militias at the entrance to the city of Aden in August 2019.
He also accused the Saudi-backed president, Abd Rabbu Mansour Hadi of officially handing over Aden to the Southern Transitional Council by a Republican decree.
According to observers the statements of al-Jabwani are within the media escalation led by the Muslim Brotherhood members inside the “Yemeni legitimacy” camp to thwart the Arab and international efforts to form a new government based on the terms of the Riyadh agreement signed in by the Yemeni government and the Southern Transitional Council in November 2019.
