Member of the Presidency of the Southern Transitional Council (STC), Salem Thabet Al-Awlaki affirmed that the announcement of the new Government is getting very close, after agreeing on the mechanism for the distribution of the ministerial portfolios between the North and the South.

Al-Awlaki said in an exclusive interview with Erem News that the agreement between the Yemeni government and the STC has been reached despite procrastination and attempts to obstruct the deal by the arm of Muslim Brotherhood within Yemen's legitimacy.

He also confirmed that both the President Abd Rabbu Mansour Hadi and the President of the STC, Aidroos al-Zubaidi are keen to implement the terms of the Riyadh Agreement and to bring about security, stability and development throughout the South.

A few days ago, Hadi and al-Zubaidi met to finalize the formation of the new government as provided by the agreement signed between the two sides.

Well-informed sources in the kingdom described the meeting of the two men as 'very positive'.

Last Sunday, Hadi held a meeting with his advisors in Riyadh during which he expressed his confidence in Saudi Arabia in implementing Riyadh Agreement and accelerating its mechanism.

He stressed that the implementation of Riyadh Agreement is in Yemen's interest and defeats Iran's project in Yemen and the region.
