 The Iran-backed Houthi putschist militia launched a large-scale kidnappings campaign in a number of districts of Hajjah province, north-west of Yemen.

Locals said that the arbitrary arrests and detentions carried out by Houthis in the areas adjacent to Kushar district which recently fell into their hands after weeks of fierce clashes with Hajour tribes.

The same sources told the press that the pro-Iran militants arrested dozens of people from markets and roads and carried out several house raids, on charges of sympathizing with Hajour tribes or supporting them.

Residents confirmed that the Houthi militias arrested dozens of people from Bu Hadi area and Kahlan district.

The Hajour tribes fought the Houthis late January, in the northern province of Hajjah for 50 days before the fall of Kushar in the grip of the Iran-backed Houthi coupist militants that committed violations and war crimes against civilians, including field executions, house demolitions and the forced displacement.
