The Security Belt Forces (SBF) foiled on Saturday, a bid to smuggle a shipment of Turkish arms into the southern province of Abyan.

Security officials said that the SFB's Rapid Intervention Forces intercepted Muslim Brotherhood-linked armed groups in the coastal city of Ahwar which, according to confirmed information, was the place of delivery of Turkish arms smuggled by sea.

Clashes erupted between the two sides near Ahwar beach, the same sources indicated, adding that at least one Muslim Brotherhood member was killed and two more were injured. In the meanwhile the ship disappeared in the sea.

The Yemeni military wing of Muslim Brotherhood organization within Yemen's legitimacy aims to thwart the Riyadh agreement by triggering and fueling armed conflicts in Abyan and Shabwa governorates to serve regional agenda.
