The escalation of the Muslim Brotherhood's militias in Abyan and Shabwa reveals that those forces are not subjected to the Riyadh Agreement and they seek to block progress towards forming a new government, member of the Presidency of the Southern Transitional Council, Salem Thabet Al-Awlaki said on his official Twitter account.
"The progress achieved on the track to form the new government is a good thing, but it is clear that there are those who escalate on the ground and do not care about the way that things are being conducted in Riyadh."
"The use of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) against the southern armed forces in Abyan province and the declared threats to some of the Arab Coalition headquarters in Shabwa, discloses an agenda that does not follow the Riyadh Agreement." he added.
Earlier, the spokesman for the Abyan axis, Captain Muhammad al-Naqib said that the terrorist Brotherhood's militias continued to breach the Abyan ceasefire by targeting the locations of the southern army in Abyan.
The violations included launching drone attacks, the use of mortar and artillery rounds in addition to heavy machine guns to target the southern army, al-Naqib added.
On Sunday, the southern armed forces detected a drone over Abyan's coastal sector launched by the militias of Islah party, the military arm of Muslim Brotherhood organization within Yemen's legitimacy.
