Member of the Presidency of the Southern Transitional Council, Lutfi Shatara said that the decision to restore the Southern State is subjected to conditions that are militarily and politically finalized and some are in the process of being finalized.

Shatara wrote on his Facebook timeline that "an alleged statement by the British ambassador, circulated on social media, that his country wants a united Yemeni country and the Southerners are not focused on one target. But apart from whether it's true or not, Britain is the most familiar country in the world with the details of what is going on in the South and."

He pointed out that "some of the statements of foreign diplomats are a test-balloon to know the reaction of the concerned parties or a clear sign to do the exact opposite." adding "Personally, according to my experience with the British officials, I know they are fully convinced that the South will not be ruled by Northerners after the 2015 war."

Shatara made it clear "The future of the South is determined by its people, this is the fact on the ground and this is what the Southern Transitional Council is doing, by reaching common understandings and convictions with different Southerners, away from the aberrant media outlets and troublemakers on social media platforms."

Shatara concluded his post by saying "Be sure that the South is in safe hands with one goal that the South is for all the Southerners."
