Flash flooding caused by heavy rain falling washed away the shelters of al-Hima camps for internally displaced people (IDPs) in al-Khokha district, in addition to destroying people's homes in al-Tuhita and Hays, south Hodeidah.
Hundreds of displaced families of al-Hima camps lost their shelters, food staff and personal properties due to the torrential rains and flash floods that hit the region, Al-Amalika Media Centre (AMC) reported on Friday.
The flood victims called on the competent authorities, concerned bodies and humanitarian organizations for urgent help.
