Muslim Brotherhood's militias (Islah Party) used on Saturday, heavy artillery to shell the positions of the southern forces on the fronts of al-Toryia and shiekh Salem in Abyan province, in flagrant violation of the ceasefire called for by the Arab Coalition and the recent proposed mechanism to accelerate the implementation of the Riyadh Agreement between the Yemeni government and the Southern Transitional Council with a view to reaching a comprehensive political solution to the crisis in the country.

Military field official said that the artillery units of the southern army responded to the source of fire, adding that the Brotherhood militias tried and still try to lead an armed incursion into Zinjibar, the capital of Abyan in a bid to regain control over the city after being defeated and expelled by the southern forces.
