A senior Houthi field commander was killed along with a number of his companions in armed clashes between the southern joint forces and the pro-Iran terrorist militia in al-Fakher sector of Qataba district in the north of al-Dhale, the media center of al-Dhale axis reported on Wednesday.
The Houthi leader, Sufyan Mohammed Saleh Sufyan (Abu Gabreel) was one of the most senior officials of the Houthi-run preventive security in Yemen's Ibb governorate. He was among dozens of Houthis dead bodies scattered over the ground in al-Fakher sector after hours of fighting that included the use of medium and heavy weapons.
The killing of Abu Gabreel occurred a few days after the Houthi lossing of its field commander of Al-Hussein Battalions, Ali Abdullah bin Abdullah Nasser Abdul Malik Al-Sayed, brother of the Houthi governor of Taiz, who was killed in fierce clashes broke out along the front lines of al-Hasha district in the northwest of al-Dhale.
