The southern joint forces managed on Tuesday, to gain more grounds in the north western part of al-Dhale governorate, following two days of fierce clashes with the Iran-backed Houthi coupist militia.

Military field sources told the press that the southern forces made considerable advances and took control of the line of contact in Habil Yahya, adding that a few days ago the southern army liberated al-Sawd area and the neighboring locations from the grip of the Houthis in the north of al-Dhale .

The Houthis scaled up their military operations in the last two days by multiplying their attacks on the positions of the southern forces, in particular in the northeastern parts of al-Hasha district and the areas of Habil Yahya and al-Hara where the pro-Iran fighters suffered heavy human and material losses.

On Sunday, dozens of pro-Iran Houthi rebels, including senior field commanders, were killed and many more were injured in long hours of fierce fighting with the southern forces.

It's worth mentioning that the southern forces managed to foil a number of Houthi infiltration attempts along the line of contact in the north of al-Dhale during the past period.
