Armed clashes erupted in Jardan district of Shabwa governorate on Thursday night between tribal forces and the pro-government Muslim Brotherhood's militias (Islah Party).

The battle between the two sides resulted in the death of at least seven fighters of the Brotherhood militias, including the commander of the military campaign against Jardan, Abdul Rahman Laka'ab, the brother of the terrorist, Abd Rabou Laka'ab, local news websites reported

The clashes occurred after the Islah's gunmen deliberately aimed and shot a southern protester in the district.
