The United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) sent on Saturday, lifesaving supplies on a chartered plane landed at Aden airport in support for the health sector and to help curb the spread of the Coronavirus disease (COVID-19).

The UNICEF confirmed in a brief statement that it provided a new batch of medical supplies including personal protective equipment items to Aden.

Last week, Sana'a received a range of medical assistance, including Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) items such as aprons, boots, face masks and gloves for frontline health workers.

The supplies will allow our courageous partners the health workers, who are working around the clock, to safely and more effectively address the spread of COVID-19,” said Sara Beysolow Nyanti, UNICEF Representative in Yemen.
