 A child was killed and his sister was badly injured on Tuesday, by a blast of a Houthi explosive remnant of war in the south of Hays in Hodeidah governorate.

Locals said that the 12-year-old boy Mohamed Noman Thabet was immediately killed and his little sister 12-year-old Huda Noman Thabet was severely injured. They were grazing their cattle when they stepped on a bomb left by the pro-Iran Houthi militia near al-Goraib Village in the south of Hays.

The pro-Iran Houthi rebels continue to plant landmines and improvised explosive devices, in addition to heavy shelling of residential areas causing an increase in the number of casualties among innocent civilians.
