 The brigades of Al-Amaliqa poured major military reinforcements into Abyan governorate to support the southern armed forces in their fight against the the militias of Islah party, the Yemeni arm of Muslim Brotherhood organization within Yemen's legitimacy.

Military sources said the soldiers and military equipment of Al-Amaliqa came from the West Coast with a view to defending the southern governorate of Abyan against the Islah's militias that demonstrated recently their intention to invade the province and then occupy Aden.

According the military officials, fierce clashes involved heavy weapons broke out between the southern forces and the Brotherhood's militias in Qarn Al-Classi and Sheikh Salem of Abyan province on Tuesday.

The Brotherhood's militias carried out a large military build-up with unprecedented reinforcements in Shouqra, including hundreds of fighters brought from the northern governorates of al-Jawf and Marib, along with tanks, armored vehicles and other military equipment in a bid to invade the southern capital Aden.

It's worth mentioning that the supreme national emergency committee for COVID-19 declared Aden an infested city on Monday. It explained that the decision came after the spread of several diseases in Aden due to the torrential rains that hit the city recently.
