Hundreds of people roamed the streets of Moudiya district in Abyan's central region on Saturday, to mark the 3rd anniversary of the establishment of the Southern Transitional Council.

The participants raised southern flags, banners and placards to display their full support for the STC leadership led by the commander Aidroos Qassem al-Zubaidi and for the steps that have recently been made in Aden and the South, in particular the self-administration of the South declared on 25 April 2020.

The demonstrators expressed their full confidence in the ability of the STC leadership to achieve the Southerners' aspirations.

It's worth mentioning that mass open-air gatherings and marches were staged in Lowder district of Abyan last Monday, in support for the self-administration of the South and to reaffirm that Abyan province is an essential part of the South and it can never accept the terrorist projects and subversive activities of Islah Party, the Yemeni arm of the Muslim Brotherhood.

On 11 May 2017, the STC was established in Aden under the presidency of the commander Aidroos Qassem al-Zubaidi to represent the people of the South at the national and regional levels. Since its foundation, the council has gained influence in all parts of the South.
