The Iran-backed Houthi coupist militia continued to shell residential areas in al-Tuhita districts of Hodeidah in defiance of the international community and the United Nations.

Al-Amalika media center quoted locals as saying that the Houthi rebels indiscriminately fired mortar shells at al-Tuhita, causing significant damage to several houses.

Houthi shelling of citizens' houses is part of a series of the Houthi crimes and violations committed since the entry into force of the U.N.-mediated ceasefire in 18 December 2018 that provides for cessation of hostilities in Hodeidah.
