President of the Southern Transitional Council and Supreme Commander of the Southern Armed Forces, Aidroos Qassem al-Zubaidi had a telephone conversation on Tuesday, with the Russian Deputy Foreign Minister and Special Presidential Representative for the Middle East and Africa, Mikhail Bogdanov to discuss the latest developments in the South.
Al-Zubaidi presented detailed explanation of the military, political and humanitarian situation in the South, including the logical basis for the 25 April declaration of self-administration of the South and a state of public emergency in Aden and all the southern governorates.
He made it clear that the decision was taken to solve the people's problems in the aftermath of the unprecedented flood that inundated Aden and other southern regions amid threats of coronavirus.
For his part, the Russian Ambassador reiterated that all the Yemeni issues can be addressed through inclusive dialogue under the aegis of the UN Special Envoy for Yemen, Martin Griffiths.
