The Yemeni Central Bank is preparing to reactivate its branch in Abyan governorate the coming days. The total cost to refurbish the bank reached to approximately 220 million Yemeni Rials.
The governor of Abyan Abubakr Hussein met with the deputy governor of the Central Bank of Yemen Mr Shakib Hubashi in which they discussed the effort exerted to refurbish the branch. The refurbishment included technical and other appropriate banking facilities including bank safes, deposit safes and bank vaults.
The governor of Abyan stressed the importance to reactivate the branch of the bank in Abyan which will ease the stress on the customers. The branch in Abyan will serve the trades agents financiers, bankers and investors who had to travel to the capital Aden for all minor or large banking services including collecting wages transfers and other banking services.
On his part, the deputy governor of the Central Bank Mr Hubaishi confirmed that the CBY aims to facilitate and provide all banking services in all the governorate including Abyan.
