 The UAE Ambassador to Yemen Salem Al Ghafli, public health and population Minister Dr Nasser Baoum and governor of Aden Ahmed Salmin, laid the foundation stone for a Health Centre for Orthopaedics in the Al Jamhoria Hospital in Khormaksar.

In a statement to the press, the UAE Ambassador Salem Al Ghafli said this project is part of a group of projects initiated by the UAE  within the celebrations of the UAE’s 47th anniversary of the National day and the  Year of Zaid.

Al Ghafly said that those projects are implemented under the directives of the leadership of the founder the Union Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan to celebrate with the Yemeni brothers those two important events and to fulfil the wished of Sheikh Zaid to help the people of Yemen.

Dr Nasser Baoum said that the project is important because it supplies vital services and requirement to the hospital.He thanked the brothers in the UAE  for the generous support and especially in the health sector which is still suffering and needs great support.

  Director General of the Hospital, Dr Ahmed Aljarba said that the relationship between the hospital and the patients in Aden and a number governorates are excellent and that the hospital has some sections which are unavailable in any other hospital and is in desperate need of quality devices.

Where does the hospital carried out 11 thousand surgeries and received 61thousand in the Emergency Department and75, 000 accidents in 2018?
He thanked The Emirati Red Crescent for their support to the hospital.
