The Human Rights Department of the Southern Transitional Council organized a special ceremony and took a good humanitarian initiative on Tuesday, in putting smiles on the faces of more than 400 children, on the occasion of the United Nations Universal Children's Day  – the 20th of November.

The ceremony was held in Sira Kindergarten in Aden, where the STC Human Rights Department distributed hundreds of gifts to the children in addition to donating preschool chairs to meet the requirements of the Kindergarten.

The head of the Human Rights Department, Lawyer Dhekra Ma'touq Hussein said that the Southern Transitional Council place the entire range of the social spectrum, including children, at the forefront of its concerns, adding that children are particularly the most affected by wars and armed conflicts, affirming that the Council will do what it takes to help the children in Aden and the South.

United Nations Universal Children's Day was established in 1954 and is celebrated on November 20th each year to promote international togetherness, awareness among children worldwide, and improving children's welfare.
