The joint forces repulsed an attack launched on their positions by the Iran-backed Houthi putschist militia in the southern parts of Hodeidah governorate.
Military field sources said that after fierce fighting, the joint forces managed to thwart the Houthi infiltration attempts, several pro-Iran rebels were killed and injured as the rest fled from the battlefields.
Medical sources in Hodeidah reported that seventeen injured Houthi fighters were admitted to hospitals in areas under their control in Zabid, Beth al-Faqaih and Hodeidah city.
The repeated infiltration attempts of the Iran-backed militia are coupled with heavy shelling of the positions of the joint forces and civilian areas in the governorate of Hodeidah in defiance of the U.N-brokered ceasefire in the province, causing widespread destruction and forcing many families to leave their homes.
