 On Saturday afternoon, the Cultural Department of the General Secretariat of the Southern Transitional Council (STC)held a performance carnival to celebrate the 52nd anniversary of the 30th of November Independence day.

The carnival, which was held in Madrem Street – Malla in the capital Aden, included folk dancing and music that reflected the cultural diversity of southern people.

The Steel  Musical Band accompanied a group of children who performed a symbolic piece from the southern heritage, as well as popular bands from various southern governorates performed at the carnival.
 
Large crowds of spectators lined the streets to enjoy the joyous and celebratory atmosphere and were excited to see such events return to the streets of Aden after a long time.

Later in the evening, the city’s sky was lit with fireworks which celebrated the end to a beautiful national independence day.
