High-ranking Houthi commanders have been killed in armed clashes erupted between the pro-government forces and the Iran-backed militias on the fronts of Sa'ada and Al-Dhale during the past 24 hours.
Military field sources told the Jeddah-based Okaz newspaper that the Houthis lost three of their senior commanders who were trained for years along with 200 Houthi fighters by the Basij forces of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps.
The same sources said that the commanders, Abu Redha and Abu Talib al-Sufiani were killed in confrontations with the pro-government forces in al-Malaheedh front, west of Saada and the Houthi commander, Hassan Mohammed al-Washli (Abu Suleiman) was killed with his son (Abu Hassan) in al-Dhale province.
Local sources confirmed that al-Thora hospital in Dhamar governorate receive, on an almost daily basis, dozens of bodies coming from the fronts of al-Dhale and Sa'ada.
